Everyone believed he would be challenging to get him to settle into the home. From the very first day he surprised us. He took everything at his pace. Mum and the social team believe he would require a long transition however he had one settling session and wanted to stay. FW barely ate whilst he was living with mum however he is now eating 3 meals a day, although this is still very restricted. He is now using Makaton to communicate his needs. FW refused to complete personal care whilst living at home, now 3 months later he is completing personal care daily. He now also attends his day centre 4 days a week where before it was 2 times a week as he refused to attend the other day. The latest achievement is that he is now taking part in daily tasks within the home such as bringing his dirty clothes to the washing machine daily.
